The founders behind Granitebaygames

Granitebaygames started with a shared spreadsheet. A few of us were running companies in different browser economies and comparing notes on which ones were worth the months they asked for. The notes grew into arguments, the arguments grew into reviews, and eventually we decided the reviews deserved a proper home.

We focus on one corner of browser gaming: business, economy and company-building sims, the long-running kind that people play for months or years. These games are hard to review quickly, because their real character only shows after the tutorial ends and the market starts pushing back. So we take our time, and we keep our companies running long after the review is published.

Our scores reflect what we value: depth of the model, how real the market feels, how much a free founder can achieve, and how well a game fits a busy week. Those priorities mean a cheerful hospital game ranks below a demanding space economy, and we are comfortable explaining why on every page.

We write in Canadian English from different corners of the country, which means our check-ins happen across several time zones, often before work or late on winter evenings. If a game changes and our review falls behind, we want to hear about it.

01

Every company starts at zero

We never review from a borrowed account with years of capital. Each game is played from a fresh company on a live server, so our first impressions match yours and our advice fits where you actually start.

02

The market decides our scores

In this genre, the economy is the game. We test markets by selling into them, buying from them and being undercut by them, and we score market realism separately so you can see exactly where each game stands.

03

Time is a currency too

We log how often each game really needs attention and tell you plainly. A great economy that eats every evening is not right for everyone, and every review says what a normal week asks.
